The Candy package is a collection of tools and nodes for H3D API. While the nodes provided through this package require compilation, there are several components that can be used directly.
The Candy package includes the HVR package. The acronym can stand for "H3D Virtual Reality" or "Haptic Virtual Reality" and this is a package including a few nodes required to set up a Virtual Reality environment (VR) with H3D API. It supports a range of tracking standards and viewpoints suitable for different types of VR systems.

This is the Candy package, a collection of tools and nodes for H3D API. This package currently provides the following components.
Components without need for compilation to function:
- Calib, a semi-automatic and interactive calibration tool for the H3D system,
- Shell, an interactive Python shell for run-time manipulation of the H3D scene-graph, - Rotator, a Python script that provides rotation from arrows, mouse motions and the magellan device,
- ManualTranslation, a Python script that enables intuitive translation of a transform using a haptic device - ManualRotation, a Python script that enables intuitive rotation of a transform using a haptic device - ManualZoom, a Python script that enables intuitive zoom using a haptic device
- pick_RGB, a widget for interactive selection of colour in the RGB colour space, - pick_HSV, a widget for interactive selection of colour in the HSV colour space,
- AutoLoadSO, a Python script that automatically loads the correct shared object (dll/so/dylib) for a cross platform X3D files,
- GettextWrapper, a Python script that uses GNU Gettext to translate X3D or VRML files while loading them into the scene Components requiring compilation of library:
- CubicPositionInterpolator, an interpolator node that interpolates softly between the specified intermediate key positions
- FiniteStateMachine, a node encapsulating the functionality of a state machine, or automata, useful for handling states in a game or larger application
- ForceTorqueIcon, a small widget that provides real-time visual representations of the force and torque generated for the first haptic instrument
- I18N, internationalization, is a node that provides strings specified through separate language files
- MouseHapticsDevice, a haptics device implementation that use the mouse position in 3D to determine the motions
- PathHapticsDevice, a haptics device implementation that is controlled through a pre-defined cubic spline path
For more information, see the documentation of the separate parts.
