Haptic Thread Issues?

Hi everyone!
I am a beginner in H3DAPI programming so I a bit confused about a few things related to the concept of threading in H3DAPI. First how do the threads work. Is the haptic thread executed during the rendering phase or only when the "traverseSG" function is encountered? Plus can we separate and prioritize these two threads separately? Will assigninh high priority to the haptics thread increase the haptic rate? Thank you!

The haptics thread is created when a device is initalized. It is a separate thread that will run at about 1000Hz by default. You can override this by setting the "desiredHapticsRate" field of a device.

The traverseSG function is running in the graphics frame, at graphics frame rate, always. Its purpose is to collect the current haptic state and after collection (after the tree traversal finishes) this state is then transferred to the haptics thread at a sync point.

They are as such always separated from eachother.
The priority of the haptics thread is already the highest IIRC.
