Please use the [ code ] tag to format your code. Unindented code is really hard to read.
I can't spot any mistake, what is the problem you experience? The RGBFunction encapsulates red, green and blue transfer functions into a colour transfer function. Compare this with for example the HSVFunction. Since your colour becomes simply a grey ramp you could consider using ColorScaleFunction instead, with type 2 = greyscale.

Sorry for the messy post previously.
For the color transfer function, I didn't experienced any problem, but I could not conceptually understand how it worked. But I think I got it now! Thanks a lot for your help !
