Re: Integrating Haptic device New discovery. I changed the device from Phantom omni to Novint falcon, and by following your suggestions, I could make my device work. It was the problem with Phantom omni only. It is fun playing with them.
But still, I really wanted to make omni work, as it is a better device (less moving components and thus less friction). But anyhow, my motive is reached. In case you figure out the problem, please let me know. Thanks a lot for all you support and effort. I hope I didn't trouble you much. |

Re: Integrating Haptic device The reason I asked if you built it yourself is to figure out if you have built H3D with Sensable support enabled or not.
Please find the file HAPI.h and check if HAVE_OPENHAPTICS is defined. If it is defined and you still get the crash then I really do not understand what is happening. Since you say that you are unfamiliar with building then you probably did not build anything yourself and just using precompiled binaries which have support for openhaptics devices. Check HAPI.h anyways, just to be sure, it is located in the directory H3D/HAPI/include/HAPI |
