How to keep force given by Sensable constant more than 3 second? Hello
I am working with Phantom Omni. For my application, i need to keep force provided by the device constant for some time. I am able to hold the o/p of the device up to 3 seconds, but not above it. Please tell me how can i hold force given by the device more than 3 seconds. I am writing code in C++. Regards Amit |

Re: How to keep force given by Sensable constant more than 3 second? When you say you are writing code in C++ do you mean that you are only using HAPI? Or are you using H3DAPI as well? I am asking because I want to know how you send force to the haptics device? Do you send force once and then just wait?
Did you check the specifications for an Omni? There should be some information somewhere about how long a constant force can be applied to its motors before their fail-safe kicks in (to avoid overheating or somesuch, I am not a mechanical engineer). Or maybe how big that constant force is allowed to be if there are any limitations at all (what do I know). |
